Certified Pool Operator (CPO®) certification is required by health departments to operate a public swimming pool or hot tub/spa. The Certified Pool Operator (CPO®) course covers the following topics:

All classes begin at 8:30 am conclude at 5:00 pm. Classes held on Tuesday and Wednesday. Fee includes instruction, handouts, break snacks, and lunch. Participants must make their own arrangements for hotel room and evening supper, should an overnight stay be necessary. Instructor is Pool & Hot Alliance national award recipient, David Peters.
This course is being offered in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 29th & 30th, 2025.
PLEASE NOTE: Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals & Licensing (IDIAL) recognizes ONLY in-person or fusion (blended) online + second day in-person learning. DO NOT TAKE courses that offer only live stream or 100% online! This course is NOT affiliate with ACCO Unlimited or GIAA. GIAA is PROMOTING this course to ensure our members can get certified BEFORE the 2025 pool season opens.
