BOI Takes Effect Again: The second federal district court order temporarily blocking enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) and Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirements has been lifted. FinCEN has generally extended the deadline 30 calendar days from Feb. 19, 2025. Reporting companies should refer to the FinCEN website for the latest updates and deadlines. Read more.

Market Trends: “In the last quarter of 2024, the apartment market exhibited significant shifts, with annual absorption surpassing new supply by 11.7%,” wrote NAA’s research team in the latest Apartment Market Pulse. “The quarterly supply-demand gap, which had been narrowing since the beginning of 2024 closed into negative territory, suggesting a potential for slight rent increases and the return of supply pressures if housing starts and permits continue to decline.”

Eviction Moratorium Lawsuit: Earlier this year, the United States government filed a Petition for Rehearing En Banc – seeking to vacate the U.S. Court of Appeals’ initial panel decision and re-hear the case in front of all Court of Appeals judges. The housing providers have until April 11, 2025, to file a response to the Petition. Read the latest.
